SMAAJ understands that joining hands with forums and networks of similar nature and objectives greatly enhances the productivity and provides useful platform for effectively advocating on the issues of mutual interest. National Humanitarian Network.
The National Humanitarian Network (NHN) is a network of Civil Society Organizations to envisage a responsible and accountable role of humanitarian institutions and associated stakeholders for a safer and disaster resilient communities in Pakistan. Its mission is to act as an independent and vibrant voice engaging stakeholders for promotion of humanitarian values, influencing policies and building capacities and ensuring right based humanitarian response. The network also connects the affected, marginalized and deprived populations with their stakeholders through different means and ways. NHN has its chapters in all four provinces of Pakistan. The national secretariat of NHN is currently with SPO at Islamabad.
The members of NHN Baluchistan Chapter show a lot of commitment and dedication to the cause of NHN. It is worth appreciating that Baluchistan Chapter members has financially contributed a lot for the successful running of Network activities in Baluchistan Province. SMAAJ, being the secretariat of Baluchistan Chapter, has hosted a number of events and meetings of NHN in Baluchistan Province. In order to strengthen and systematize the data base of Baluchistan Chapter members; the secretariat with the consensus of Provincial Executive Committee is currently going through review of its members documents / profiles and also collecting applications from new organizations to join NHN Baluchistan.
